Everything seems like it will boil over soon. The world is getting unbearably hot fast. Political views are radically shifting to the right and my grandma just started planning her own funeral. My friend Elias always boils the water a little longer while cooking his pasta. He likes it when the steam rises up and I have begun to do so too. Because, you know, maybe it has to be something else. After all, eating a big pot of soup with the family, going to the sauna with friends or getting invited to an asado by strangers is the real deal. Later we can protest we can take to the streets all we want – but before this there is some steam to watch, rising up slowly.
